Janitor - 3 Month Contract | Birmingham | £13.20 p/h | Immediate Start

The Assignment

We have an immediate requirement for a Janitor to join a busy laboratory/industrial facility in Birmingham. The assignment is expected to run for 3 months, with potential for extension for the right candidate.

What the Work Involves

Working as part of the facilities team, your duties will include:

- Cleaning and maintaining labs, washrooms, offices, hallways, and cafeteria areas
- Managing waste disposal and recycling services
- Carrying out general upkeep including dusting, polishing fixtures and maintaining supplies
- Supporting site requests such as cleaning tasks, moving items, and minor facility projects

Hours, Shifts & Pay

Shift pattern: Monday-Friday, 17:00 - 19:30
Pay rate: £13.20 per hour
Pay frequency: Weekly
Holiday pay: Accrued and paid in line with assignment

What We Need From You

- Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role preferred (healthcare, laboratory or industrial setting advantageous)
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a team player mindset
- Good communication skills and basic understanding of safety practices
- Ability to carry out routine, repetitive tasks and work in a physically active role
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Right to work in the UK - documentation will be required before start
