Project Design Engineer - Hydraulics

Overview
We are pleased to be working with our dynamic client who have a new opening for a Project Design Engineer. This role would be great for an Early Career Engineer who would join the business supporting the delivery of hydraulic engineering projects from design through to build and commissioning.

The Role
You'll gain hands on experience working on hydraulic power units, bespoke systems, control consoles, and manifolds, combining technical design work with time in the workshop and on site. This role offers excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle and the opportunity to develop into a senior technical or project role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of hydraulic projects on time and to specification
• Produce and manage technical documentation
• Assist with engineering design, calculations, and CAD modelling
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Gain hands?on experience with mechanical assembly and commissioning

About You:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (2:1 preferred)
• Interest in hydraulics and practical engineering
• Basic CAD knowledge (Inventor preferred)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to learn and work across office, workshop, and site
