Manpower is currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers to work within a Day Centre for adults with learning disabilities, on temporary assignments starting as soon as possible until 15th of November 2019. Hours of work will be 09:00 - 15:45, Monday to Friday.

At this Day Centre, a person-centred approach is taken with each placement. Staff work closely with individual's creating a timetable to promote progression and to identify areas of interest, working with them to achieve their goals. Travel training, road safety awareness, knowing your community and money skills are just a few examples of the skills that customers work on; alongside work based skills such as Hanging Baskets and Maze Gardens where individuals work with local businesses to maintain their green spaces.

The community focussed initiative Horizons is aimed to equip Customers to realise their potential; developing their independent and social skills for use in everyday life, and to play a greater role in their community, catering for a number of adults with learning disabilities; inclusive of those individuals with more complex needs.
