Specialist Claims Administrator

Manpower are recruiting an Specialist Claims Administrator on behalf of Whirlpool to support their claims department.

This is a fixed term contract running until the end of the year.

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has become available in Whirlpool's Claims Team for a Claims Specialist.

You will be working within a small team that handle product liability and employee liability claims to include property damage, personal injury and consequential loss claims.

KEY ACTIVITIES include:

  • Review and investigation of claims following set procedures;
  • Assessing liability and quantum;
  • Corresponding and liaising with consumers, engineers, insurers, loss adjusters and solicitors;
  • Negotiating settlements;
  • Liaising with business partners, consultants and lawyers for the management of claims;
  • Developing a knowledge of legal issues and procedures in respect of a variety of consumer matters

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to negotiate at all levels including high level
  • Good technical product knowledge
  • Flexible approach in the workplace
  • Understanding of consumer law preferable
  • Background in customer service beneficial, not essential
  • Interest and drive to learn in a legal specialism
