An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Part Time Health & Safety Manager based at Unilever's customer service site in Hyde. This is a part-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working 2 full days between Mon and Thurs (to be agreed), starting 16th January 2017, paying £26,400 - £28,050 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

The site SHE Coordinator is the most senior SHE professional at the site. S/He will have overall responsibility for managing Safety, Health & Environmental improvement activities to achieve excellence at the site level. The site has recently created an SHE Action Plan to improve performance. The SHE coordinator will lead the implementation of the action plan in order to achieve sustainable SHE excellence by effectively managing the Risks and reducing injuries, illnesses and environmental impact. The SHE Coordinator will ensure compliance with the Unilever framework standards and report into the Unilever SHE reporting system where necessary.

* Monitor site legal compliance and ensure the site meets all local/national regulatory requirements and company standards.
* Provide advice on all national SHE legislation requirements and implement relevant procedures and policies, specifically relating to the following topics:
* Maintain and deploy SHE strategy, policy and standards in the site to achieve excellent sustainable results.
* Drive the safety Risk Management process. Maintain and update Risk Assessments and develop/implement appropriate controls.
* Work closely with SHE & Occupational Health Management teams to identify and mitigate risks which may lead to injury or occupational illness.
* Conduct trend analysis from all Accidents, Near miss and other safety data.
* Develop an understanding of the Behaviour Based Safety program and assist the site leader to develop a Central SHE Committee to drive SHE improvements on site.
* Determine training needs and assist in the delivery of training programs.
* Develop and deploy internal SHE auditing and workplace inspection systems.
* Ensure compliance with the Unilever SHE framework standards.

* University Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
* NEBOSH Certificate with up to date IOSH CPD
* NEBOSH Diploma (Preferred)

* Experience in Supply Chain Operations
* Manufacturing or Engineering experience
* Proven track record of analytical thinking and Project Management
