Our client, one of the UK's leading energy providers, is looking for an Internal Communications Consultant to contribute to the improved performance of the business by engaging people with the business objectives through effective communications. The post holder will manage key relationships with functional management teams and engage with the wider communications network.


*Develop and deliver engaging communications for the business.
*Support the Internal Communications Manager in developing and implementing business and nuclear generation specific projects/initiatives on time and to a high standard.
*Develop and support the delivery of functional events across the business.
*Provide consultancy and support to managers and team leaders to improve the effectiveness of their internal communications.
*Manage key communication channels and intranet site.
*Regularly review the effectiveness of communications in order to ensure that content is of the highest quality and that channel usage is optimised.
*Implement external best practice in internal communications mechanisms and practices.

Skills/experience required:

*Ability to manage several projects at one time, prioritising and managing the expectations of others.
*Competent in company computer packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
*Strong stakeholder management, networking and influencing skills.
*Coaching skills to build effective relationships.
*Ability to deliver all stages of an internal communications campaign - from planning, development and organisation through to delivery and feedback.
*Competent presenter to a wide range of audiences.
*Experience of communications in industrial organisations e.g. communicating across shifts, across multiple and complex layers.
*Have a good understanding of the UK political system at a national, regional and local level.
*Event management.
*Understanding of video production.
*Willingness to travel to other company sites.
