An exciting opportunity has arisen for Biophysical Measurement Scientist to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for Measurement Scientist to work in the Personal Care Business Area, based at Unilever's prestigious Research and Development facility Port Sunlight, Wirral. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying up to £23371 pro rata, dependant on experience.

Within Personal Care, we are building new, world class measurement capability to help us develop innovations that out-perform the competition and build equity for our leading brands.

We are looking for a degree-qualified, Measurement Scientist to join our team in Port Sunlight to support development of next generation measurement methods, and to create technical insights to guide the search for new materials and help create new claims.

The role is ideally suited to an individual who is self-motivated and has a passion for applied science that provides a winning edge for our products. Experience in in-vivo biophysical measurements (clinical studies / panel testing) and in-vitro physical measurement/substrate characterisation would be desirable. Evidence of knowledge of regulatory and control standards, GLP, GCP, SOPs and risk management would be an advantage.

Main Job Purpose:

* Apply science expertise to support the development of new in-vivo measurement protocols, in the area of physical, biophysical and biochemical testing.
* Design and execute experimental plans to agreed timelines.
* Document and report key insights, developments and observations

Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:
* Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or Chemistry preferred
* Experience of operating to regulatory and control standards, GLP, GCP, SOPs and risk management
* Expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work both in a team and independently.
