Manpower is partnering with a leading packaging manufacturer in their search for a Process Development Engineer (FTC 9 months) to be based at their busy Leeds production plant. The Process Development Engineer will provide expert injection moulding advice and hands-on support to the wider manufacturing business.

This role is a fixed term contract which will last for a minimum of 9 months.

Partnering with some of the world's biggest brands, the company - which is a true multinational - has long supplied consumer packaging to a plethora of industries including pharmaceuticals and food. The site at Leeds is experiencing an exciting period of growth, and the Process Development Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring that the site continues on its path towards Operational Excellence. Core challenges will include;
*Acting as the first port-of-call for all technical expertise regarding the injection moulding process and associated equipment
*Defining new SOPs to ensure a smooth and efficient injection moulding production process
*Delivering ongoing coaching and training to the manufacturing and tool room teams on new and existing SOPs and best-practice
*Identifying and implementing Continuous Improvement projects to maximise production efficiency
*Project managing new machine installations and modifications
*Maintaining and troubleshooting issues with injection moulding equipment

This role - in which there is fantastic room for progression - will suit an individual that possesses the following skills and experience;
*A strong background within an injection/blow moulding or extrusion environment (underpinned by an apprenticeship or education)
*Competent mechanical engineer with a hands-on approach
*Proven track record of creating and implementing new SOPs for injection moulding processes
*Great communicator with the ability to train cross-functional teams
*Experience of leading continuous improvement projects to deliver efficiencies (such as around OEE)

In return, the company is offering a great salary of circa £50,000 and a number of other additional benefits.
