Manpower Technical is recruiting for a web application developer on behalf of our client located in Cambridge. The role is Permanent, and based within the IT Sector.

Initially your role will be to maintain and develop a range of bespoke web applications mainly applied to the domain of Knowledge and Learning Management. These systems manage millions of learning events and are rolled out to a variety of customers, including blue chip companies in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Financial and Retail.

In addition to working on existing platforms, which have several years of development history, you will also have the opportunity to work on the creation of new web and mobile applications.

The position is for a permanent role.

It is important that you can show the ability and desire to:

Essential skills:
* Hand-coded HTML/5, Javascript, and CSS/3
* Experience of cross-device and cross-browser solutions
* Experience of external APIs and working with JSON and XML
* Intermediate to advanced SQL and experience of hand-coded queries
* Good knowledge of at least one advanced web development framework/language (e.g. ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails or PHP based frameworks)

Experience in Microsoft ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server and IIS is desirable though not essential.

The successful candidate is likely to have 2 to 5 years' commercial or freelance experience and must demonstrate a good variety of previous personal, academic or professional projects.

Shifts: Full Time.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Per Annum, Plus benefits such as annual performance bonus, 25 days annual leave, pension scheme and life assurance.
