An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Brand Development Manager within the Oral Care Team based at their prestigious facility at Blackfriars - London. This is a temporary role to start August 2017 and expected to run for 4 months. The salary for this position is paying a maximum of £36,878 per annum, depending on experience.

Background:

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and capable Assistant Brand Development Manager to be involved in the global relaunch of the Smile Brand (Signal, Mentadent, Pepsodent etc.) and category simplification activities You will have the opportunity to work in a highly challenging role within the category in order to make a significant contribution to delivering the biggest project within Oral Care as well as supporting the Oral Care category as a whole on simplification.

You will play a critical supporting role to the Brand Manager and the category strategy team, ensuring the relaunch is aligned with the brand vision plan and category priorities in terms of portfolio simplification. You will be able to develop an in-depth understanding of brand development and the business environment within personal care and specifically oral care. The role offers plenty of scope for independent leadership and clearly ownable deliverables.

Key accountabilities & deliverables:
*Key supporting role reporting into Global Brand Manager Co-Lead and excite internal brand and cross-functional teams to ensure the Smile brand relaunch is delivered with maximum consistency and simplification globally
*Manage budgets and internal IPM process
*Oversee The Asset Bank (TAB) system for the brand
*Work closely with CMI to develop consumer testing plans
*Work closely with SC to manage simplification programs, tight networks and operational planning
*Work closely with finance to review business performance
*Must gain solid understanding of the oral care consumer, customer and competition
*Category harmonization & simplification program:
oArt work implementation
Finalise the artwork design guidelines
Work with brand teams to implement into the pack relaunch
o1-in 1-out
Provide support to project teams to implement 1in 1out plan
Once a year tail management - engage with countries to define exit plan
oHarmonization & simplification cascades
Organise communication of the streams of work to brand & project teams
Key requirements & experience:
*Degree in Marketing related subject
*Clear demonstration of successful team leadership (agencies & across functions), team commitment and ability to influence stakeholders
*Passion and interest for marketing, personal care/beauty brands and products
*Global mindset with the ability to understand different cultures and experience of excelling in a multi-cultural environment/teams
*Demonstrated ability to understand a consumer target and position a brand, project, innovation around consumer insights
*An eye for beautiful creative execution, great quality and insightful communications as well as purposeful and aesthetic design
