Our client is currently recruiting for an Arrest Officer to work in and around the Bedfordshire area.

This is a permanent position paying £16,000 + commission, arrest vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone and laptop.

They are recruiting for a candidate with a high level of self-motivation and able to work between 6am and 9pm.

Driving license is essential!

Job description:

Arrest officers are required to visit customers at the addresses stated on warrants to obtain payment, execute warrants or make enquiries to trace the whereabouts of customers.

You will be required to make visits in the early mornings, evenings and weekends and establish residency of new tenants.

Core duties and responsibilities
- Where necessary, to convey persons named on the warrants to courts, police stations or HMP
- To issue receipts for all payments received and to inform courts of all payments taken
- To complete all necessary paperwork and update handheld devices on actions taken
- To undertake any training necessary for the role including 'conflict management and disengagement techniques'
- To follow 'lone worker policy', 'stab vest (PPE) wear and tear policy' and 'arrested person policy'
- To ensure post incident procedures are followed
- To comply with all policies surrounding the use of body worn video cameras and laptops
- To carry out any other tasks as required in connection with the service, execution or return of warrants, summonses, orders and notices, including obtaining and reporting information regarding the customer and/or the actions taken in executing a warrant

Person specification
- Articulate, numerate and able to communicate and interact with others at all levels
- Ability to manage conflict
- High level of self-motivation and able to work between 6am and 9pm
