Great opportunity for an experienced Buyer / Planner to work for a growing Manufacturing business in Bracknell! Do you have previous experience working for a Manufacturing Company? Have you used a Material Requirement Planning System? Would you be happy working on an initial 12 month contact? If so this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The role? Complete daily MRP actions to maintain timely flow of purchased material. Daily communication regarding delivery dates. MRP analysis, parameter setting and reporting. Maintain accurate system data for all planning parameters including lead-times, price, lot sizes, minimums, and multiples. Proactively solve material availability issues. Proactively manage supplier relationships and performance. Optimise shipments for an efficient freight spend. Analyse slow moving inventory for root cause, rework/substitution opportunities, and cost effective disposition. Provides phase in/out planning for new product introductions. Be the point person for supplier's commercial and/or technical queries.
Work cross functionally to meet company demands. Support your line manager in achieving the company's goals and objectives.
Meet the duties and responsibilities as required by the Health and Safety at Work Act and Company Policy and report any issues to your manager or Safety Representative. Always work in a safe manner, protecting yourself and others. Highlight any issues with your management team.
Qualifications and experience needed? BA/S degree with 1-2 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment
OR Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Experience, MRP experience and optimisation is essential. Statistical analysis and reporting skills are essential. Strong MS Office; Proficiency in Excel are essential. Prior experience with Oracle ERP system is advantageous. Exposure to manufacturing environment favourable. Comfortable in a fast-paced high mix manufacturing environment.
