Customer Service Administrator

Our client is looking to recruit a part time Customer Service Administrator to work within their busy Customer Service Department based at Lee Mill, near Ivybridge. This is an excellent opportunity to work for the UK's leading supplier of LPG.

Applicants will be responsible for providing high levels of customer service to customers at all times. The duties will include;

Providing speedy and accurate information to customer by telephone and in writing in line with company procedures.

Answering general account queries and resolving any customer complaints.

Updating the internal customer data base system to ensure accurate records are kept on file.

Taking payments and setting up payment plans.

Credit control.

Advising customers on gas deliveries and schedules.

General administration tasks.

The ideal candidate for the role will have a background in office based customer service, with some credit control/sales ledger experience. Excellent organisational skills are also essential, to ensure you prioritise your workload to meet the requirements of the business. You will be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner, including being able to deal effectively with customer complaints. You will also be a team player who can work unsupervised when required.

Candidates will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English, ideally grade C or above. You must also have excellent IT skills and have experience of working with Microsoft Office packages, in particular, Word & Excel. NVQ level 2 in customer service would be advantageous. Full training on all systems will be provided via e-learning and shadowing experienced staff.

The hours will be 25 per week, Monday to Friday. We are able to be flexible with shift times and the successful candidate can choose between the following shift times - 9.00am - 2.00pm, 9.30am - 2.30pm or 10.00am to 3.00pm. You may also be required to work Saturdays on a rota basis.

This is an ongoing temporary position.
