An exciting new restaurant is opening at the Westgate Shopping Centre when the development is finished in October. I am recruiting for two Assistant Managers to join the team. You will be responsible with the General Manager for ensuring the restaurant is operated to drive sales through outstanding customer service, maximising profitability whilst ensuring that all legal and company standards and policies are consistently met and team members are trained and developed enabling them to meet expectations in all areas of their job role

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

PEOPLE
*To support all team members to develop them to achieve their potential by effective scheduling during training with a trainer and execution of regular training, coaching and performance feedback sessions as per the prescribed training policies, procedures, standards and training workbooks.
*To maximise and maintain staff retention by engaging with management and team members alike in an open, friendly and approachable manner.
*To create a motivational environment to drive positive team spirit through regular team meetings, weekly management meetings, daily team briefings and regular 121's.
*To manage performance, absenteeism, conduct and performance according to company standards, policies and procedures.
*To lead by example and to be a role model at all times encouraging an environment of continual training, coaching, feedback and development
*To identify, recognise and reward individual and team performance and behaviours.

GUEST EXPERIENCE
*To liaise daily with the Head Chef or kitchen senior on duty to ensure the appropriate quantity and quality of food is produced as per specifications.
*To ensure the appearance of the restaurant is immaculate both inside and outside at all times
*To ensure that all team members and management alike are fully aware and knowledgeable of all forthcoming events, promotions, marketing activity and menus.
*To create an inviting environment, style and atmosphere to ensure it is conducive to the guests perfect dining experience
*To resolve all guest queries, complaints or other irregularities implementing the 6 R's complaint handling procedure as and when necessary and appropriate and in a timely manner

You will be offered a great working environment with first class training and the chance for progression. You will need to be available for five days out of seven on a rota basis and the salary for this position is £23,000- £28,000 dependant on experience.
