Job Title:Mechanical Technician - £25,255 to £28,601

Location:Torpoint, Plymouth

I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician - £25,255 to £28,601 to join a leading transport company based in Torpoint, Plymouth. My client really does support their staff and promote development within the role.

You will be responsible for undertaking safe and efficient maintenance of mechanical machinery and systems aboard the transport machines to ensure maximum service delivery levels.

Your role will also include the maintenance and repair of all fixed, electrical machinery as well as the day to day running of the operation as you work on my client's biggest site in the UK. You will be working alongside a close knit team of Technicians.

You will be required to immediately respond to correction of any breakdowns as well as carrying out preventative maintenance on site as necessary. You will also be the point of contact for technical support whilst on shift. You will have a logical approach to problem solving with commitment to achieving plant operation and production companies.

My client has requested that you hold the following qualifications and experience:

*C&G Engineering Levels 1,2 &3
*Experience of working in a Maintenance/Repair environment
*A thorough working knowledge of complex engineering workshop machinery and safety precautions
*A good knowledge of Health and Safety rules and regulations

The hours of work and rate of pay are listed below:

Hours of work: 37 hours + 5.5 hours contracted overtime, Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 2:00pm. If any of the machinery breaks down over the weekend and you are available they would require flexibility to attend (very rare this has happened).
