Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a logistics operative to work with our client in full time long term temporary roles. You will be carrying out logistics activities within the manufacturing and dispatch areas to ensure raw materials are distributed and finished goods are dispatched in a timely manner.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

-Load/unload manually using ped trucks vehicles in accordance with daily requirements.
-Deliver all items to different areas of manufacturing
-Remove all excess goods from production lines within the specified time frame.
-Pack Finished Goods ready for despatch, including wrapping and labelling.
-Provide weights and dimension information for shipping of product.
-Load vehicles using ped trucks with Finished Goods items for despatch.
-General upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse environment with focus on 5S.
-Ensure that all deviations from process are reported to logistics supervision.

This role involves working day shifts and is guaranteed 38 hours per week, working rotational days and afternoon shifts.

Due to the location of the site having your own transport is essential. Public transport does not operate to the area for early starts and late finishes.

You will have a proven background in a logistics/distribution typically gained from a manufacturing environment. You will also be an excellent team player with the ability to work under your own initiative to tight deadlines and quality standards. You will also have a good standard of education with GCSEs (Grades A-C)/NVQ standard or equivalent or vocational qualifications.

Pay rates for the roles start at £8.00 per hour dependant on business area and will increase after 12 weeks employment.
