My client based in Haverhill has a 6 month temporary vacancy for an Engineering Stores Co-Ordinator.

The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background and have previous experience working within a computerised stores environment. In addition you will have an excellent attention to detail, be well organised and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and senior management.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of stock and equipment within the Engineering Stores. This includes but not limited to:

Ensuring that stock levels are maintained
Management of inventory spend within a budget.
Implementation of systems to drive a world class inventory management within a GMP environment.

Key Responsibilities
Works closely with the Planner and Scheduler to provide all equipment spare parts needed to carry out maintenance activities onsite.
Develops and maintains an effective spare parts inventory inline with manufacturers recommendations and input from Reliability Engineers.
Manage slow moving items, removing redundant stock as required.
Supervise outside vendors for the cost effective sourcing of compliant stocked spare parts, receiving of spare parts and other non-inventory items.
Manage inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained. Conduct regular cycle counting of inventory to facilitate this in line with ABC methodologies. Ensure stock is available when required.
Issue spare parts for Facilities and Manufacturing maintaining accurate records of what and where spare spares are used.
Develop, monitor and visually report on Maintenance Key Performance Indicators associated with Engineering Stores. These will include the control of inventory costs.
Work with key stakeholders across the site to update inventory and stock criteria in order to meet business needs.
Develop and drive the use of standard processes for inventory management. These will include FIFO, expiry date management, GMP stock segregation and vendor consignment stock management.
Ensure compliance documentation for all stock relevant stock is accurate and available.
Develops and conducts inventory specific training programs for relevant personnel.
Assures that all Purchasing and inventory activities are in compliance with all departmental, company and regulating authority policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
Partners with manager to develop and control inventory budget.
Introduction and management of 5s and Kan Ban systems for stock management.
Ensures systems are available for out of hours stores operation.


Knowledge, Skills required
At least 3 years experience of working within a stores environment with a proven ability to implement systems and ways of working
Demonstrated ability to support varying projects successfully with knowledge and experience.
Good problem solving skills.
Budgetary control experience.
Excellent IT skills with Microsoft applications as will as CMMS and MRP systems
Good EHS awareness, including risk assessments and CoSHH assessments
Has knowledge of working within the framework of cGMP
