An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Finance Analyst based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Blackfriars, London. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 12 month covering maternity, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying between £30 and 33K per annum. pro rata, depending on experience.

Brief Job Description:
The finance analyst will be a key member of a small high-performing Finance team. The key objective of the role is to provide the business with timely, accurate and insightful analysis of the results and forecast, leading to accelerated business performance (including providing competitors' publicly available data). The finance analyst will be responsible for providing the leadership team with reports and insights, providing all financial submissions to Unilever and working with the financial controller to manage all budgets and business targets. The analyst will be exposed to the sale process and work with the project team to provide insight and analysis to potential buyers.

Specific Job Deliverables:
The Financial analyst will work on the following areas for the whole Product Company:

1.Working on the Spreads sale
The finance analyst will have the truly unique opportunity to work on information requirements for the sale process. They will be exposed to external parties and learn the steps of a huge M&A project. The deliverables will be constantly changing as the deal progresses and the analyst will also work on setting this up.

2.Reporting and Analysis
The finance analyst will work on the Information Management roadmap for Department and ensure that the Information Management team deliver against this roadmap. The analyst will work closely with the business to understand all its reporting needs and work on the development of new/improved reports to give the business maximum insight and reduce lead-times.

3.Budget Management and Target Setting
The analyst will work on all Budgets regardless of location (Global, Regional or Local) or source (Direct or Indirect). They will work on the transition of the business to a new buyer and the change in cost and budget structure associated with this.

4.Global Forecast and Financial Submissions
The finance analyst will work on the month-end process and drive improvements in this area (e.g. faster close, centralisation of tasks etc). They will need to submit global forecast adjustments and prepare and submit all relevant financial reports/commentaries on behalf of the Global teams each month within agreed timelines.


Experience and Skills:
The finance analyst should be:
*be highly analytical and able to manipulate data to quickly identify business issues and trends
*excellent excel & power point skills are essential, while previous experience in Information Management would be advantageous
*capable of handling a broad agenda and constantly managing competing priorities
