Our Edinburgh based client has a superb opportunity for an Office Manager within a highly reputable Law Firm. The Office Manager is to lead, manage and develop our legal secretarial /administrative department support staff, facilities, reception and mailroom staff across all areas of the business.
The key responsibilities of the role are to lead, manage and develop our legal department support, facilities, reception and mailroom staff. Drive, influence and implement a programme of change to enhance the support provided to the business and work with departments to identify areas where support resources need strengthened.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/quality control guidelines to be implemented and maintained and work with HR/Knowledge and Development to enhance the skills and recruit additional resources as required.
Liaise with Dictate Now (DN) and ensure that any agreed SLAs are met and raise any concerns timeously to rectify and ensure that tasks are carried out effectively and that high standards are maintained.
Coach and mentor the legal support staff as required developing and encouraging and introduce a career structure that develops and motivates our legal support staff. Ensure our legal support staff is provided with training and development opportunities.
As the Support Services/Practice Manager you will be expected to:-
Have highly developed organisational and people management skills with a working knowledge of H&S issues. Be experienced in office management, dealing with external contractors and contract negotiation. Be technically proficient in a range of Microsoft Office products, dictation software and Worksite file management systems
