Manpower is working with a reputable client based in Co.Down who are renowned for working on prestigious contracts and are growing both in size and reputation.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will carry out structural steel take offs; measuring and quantifying material from Engineers and Architects drawings/ specifications and bills of quantities.

Daily duties:-

Preparation of cost estimates within strict time frames, mainly for structural steel
mainly for structural steel buildings including feature staircases and metal decking.
Preparation of detailed quotations and presentation documents.
Maintaining and improving the quality of estimating techniques and processes.
Carrying out the above in accordance with all Health & Safety, Quality and C.E. Marking
Procedures.
Any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by your employer.

Criteria:-

To be considered for this role the successful candidate will need the following:-

Structural steelwork experience preferable, however, candidates from other sectors of the construction industry may also be considered.
Have a good understanding of steelwork and engineering principals.
Strong math and analytical skills, as well as an eye for detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with our clients.
Understanding of computers, processing and spreadsheet
