Occupational Therapist job opportunity available in Glasgow to work as a Registered Healthcare Practitioner

Starting Salary: Band 6 (£26,302 - £35,225 per annum) + NHS Benefits

Hours: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available (3, 4 or 5 days per week), Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

In partnership with NHS Lanarkshire, SJB Medical is recruiting Occupational Therapists to undertake face to face functional assessments on behalf the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). As an Occupational Therapist, you will be analysing how an individual's disability or impairment impacts on their activities of daily living.

Training & Development:

As an Occupational Therapist you will enrol onto a fully paid training course inclusive of e-learning and personal mentoring. (you will receive your full salary from day 1 of training). Development is continuous and support is vast ensuring your transition into a qualified Registered Healthcare Practitioner. Throughout your journey you will be kept up to date professionally, expand your clinical knowledge and gain exposure to promotional opportunities into training or management.

Key responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:

*Carrying out face to face assessments for a broad range of clinical scenarios
*Delivering an excellent standard of customer service, treating claimants with respect and performing assessments in a supportive manner
*Producing a high standard impartial and evidence based written report
*Undertaking other duties as required on request of senior staff

To be considered for this position as an Occupational Therapist you should meet the following criteria:

*HCPC registration as relevant, with a minimum of 2 years' post Nursing registration experience
*Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills and basic IT abilities (MS word)
*Hold appropriate knowledge of the clinical aspects of a wide range of health conditions
*Highly organised and able to plan your own workload
