Sales Support Executive

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 PA (DOE)
Location: Belgrave House (London Victoria) / Telecom House (Brighton)(Flexible)
Contract Type: On-going temporary position
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Start Date: ASAP

The role requires an experienced sales support candidate to provide first class support to a team of Field Sales Managers acquiring new business for American Express to companies with a turnover of between £19m-£300m. The individual will be a highly efficient and a self - starter with a passion to deliver to the client and team.
They will be skilled in client engagement and communication with various levels of the organisation and functional business partners within American Express. Though not essential, the candidate would ideally have experience in the financial sector or have worked in a similar, professional environment.
The successful candidate will likely be based in London - though there may be requirement to be in the Brighton office 1 or 2 days a week. As they progress in the role there is also potential flexibility for the right candidate to work from home on occasion (TBC).

Responsibilities

Pre- Sale Support (approx 85% of role)

*Basic lead validating and data cleansing
*Qualifying calling, e.g confirming decision maker details
*Some cold calling, aiming to book meeting for the BDMs
*Desk research around companies (eg using Avention and LinkedIn)
*Assisting with AML and KYC checks to understand complex ownership structures
*Attending occasional client meetings if required
*'Washing' data and building / de-duping prospect lists
*Working with Marketing and field Team Leaders on lead generation projects and assigning leads

Post Sale Support (approx 15% of role)

*Working with implementation team on on-boarding to chase KYC info
*Calls to walk customers through making their first Card transaction
*Call to ensure customer has registered with online account management tool
*Calls to book in a meeting with the BDM for a 3 month 'review' / 'upsell'
