Supply Chain Manager / Internal Customer Support Manager
Due to continued success in their field & a brand new £30m investment in a new site I am excited to be looking for a talented & experienced Supply Chain Manager/ Internal Customer Support Manager to ensure the efficient and effective running of the logistics, Goods inwards and planning.

As the new site will not complete construction until March 2018 when it will be ready for operations, your initial 3/4 months will be spent travelling between Cambridgeshire, Netherlands & Germany.

Your new position as Supply Chain Manager / Internal Customer Support Manager has three equal elements of responsibility & experience or knowledge of all 3 is imperative to succeed in your application:

*Customer Service,
*Supply Chain
*Warehouse.

No qualifications required as such but Supply chain experience, Continuous improvement mind-set , Internal/external Customer Service experience, Logistics experience will be essential. Applicants from a manufacturing background would be more relevant and preferred.

As Supply Chain Manager / Internal Customer Support Manager, you will report directly to the Site Manager with a dotted line to the European Sales Manager & you will have responsibility for warehouse staff and 2/3 office staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with previous experience in Logistics/Warehouse as well as strong internal customer service experience. You will work with internal customers and providing excellent customer satisfaction in this role.

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per annum

Hours: 40 per week (Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm)

Training: As the new site is not operational until March 2018, you will be required to travel to the Netherlands and France for your training, therefore applicants must bare this in mind.

Managing day to day Operations
*Safely managing all on site logistical/supply chain visitors.
*Ensuring that all H&S rules are followed in all areas of site including the warehouse
*Ensure all key equipment (FLT's etc.) is properly looked checked and maintained and operated safely
*Spot check packaging and trailers loaded at random to ensure excellent service to the customer
*Follow correct procedures regarding complaints contacting QC in cases of isolating stock for future customers
*Raising claims for any damages ensuring payments are made
*Chasing of return items and inspection on return, reporting back to the business the outcome
*Dealing with the packing and shipping of export orders, ensuring shipping documents of hazardous materials and drivers' data is correct.
*Responsibility for performance, ensuring that gaps in resources are identified, service issues are resolved or escalated and that information is communicated and acted upon
*Communication with suppliers ensuring relationships are maintained and smooth flow of product. OTIF is maintained to the required target
*Communication with external sales team to ensure current data is up to date
*Oversee raw materials and GDSIN ensuring stock levels are maintained at the correct levels to ensure smooth and continuous production at all times taking into consideration production spikes and reject rates
*Facilitate and lead the production planning ensuring customer orders are met and stock levels are sufficient whilst maintaining smooth and efficient production.
*Input and maintain BOMs ensuring all data is 100% correct at all times
*Process and management of manufacturing orders
*Analyse and action variance in raw material consumption ensuring root cause has been identified and upcoming orders are updated to suit
Managing People:
*Interaction with other departments, especially with customer service department , as necessary to achieve results.
*Develop, inspire, support and guide the team leaders and team members.
*Build strong relationships with suppliers, internal customer service and colleagues, bringing keen strategic thinking and clear tactical planning to the table.
Managing Finance:
*Ensure cost effective deliveries and haulier usage
*Ensure RM prices are maintained and up to date to ensure correct profit line.
*Ensure all outgoing invoices are processed with 24 hours/or cut off time as discussed.
*Ensure all incoming invoices queries are actioned and counter measured within 48 hours.
