An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Control Manager working within the Manufacturing Industry to join a World leader in automotive refinishing products, our client Upol are currently looking for a Manufacturing Process Control Manager based at their Manufacturing facility in Wellingborough. This is a full time role, working a xx hour week. This role is paying between £48-55K, dependant on experience. This role also offers a Company Pension, Private Medical cover, a holiday entitlement of 25 day per year plus nominated bank holidays and a Company Bonus.

Job Purpose:
To lead manufacturing operations of Coatings and Fillers for successful delivery of business objectives and long term business goals. Ensure all resources are available and skills and competencies are in place to deliver volume targets, safety and quality standards, NPD and adherence to overall plan for short and long term goals. To maximise the contribution of current plant assets and resources and develop strategies for future growth and improvements, optimising plant OEE performance, liaising with the site manager and other key functions. To drive a culture of continuous improvement within the operations teams by ensuring lean initiatives are in place to fully develop the potential of people and processes. Responsible for developing and delivering manufacturing performance targets, operating procedures and using continuous improvement methodologies to improve performance and measure this improvement in terms of HSE, quality, cost, delivery and team development.

Content of position:
*Develop departmental strategy and monitor plans to deliver in line with business goals
*Regularly review plans and working activities liaising with other functions to improve processes and people to continually improve performance to maintain best practices and control costs
*Working as part of the site management team and supply chain contributing to the development and delivery of the overall Supply Chain Strategy
*Anticipate new requirements and deliver additional value with urgency
*Lead team performance to deliver against defined KPI's
*Monitor, improve and report performance v target in terms of HSE, quality, OEE, staff and waste
*Lead daily briefings, MDI boards Tier 2, feeding into Tier 3
*Lead manufacturing teams and create good cross functional teams for safety, quality and continuous improvement activities, advocating ownership and expected behaviours across the teams,
*Have a sound knowledge of systems and procedures to ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner, sharing knowledge and experience across boundaries and working with other managers/leaders to get the best of staff
*Competent across manufacturing and support functions to manage capex investments from conception to commissioning
*Challenge personal performance and develop own skills and actively engages with the team to coach and expand capability and strive for improved results
*Demonstrate a good understanding of the business and where the supply chain and manufacturing fit as part of the business strategy, understanding customer needs and helping team to understand
*Promote the need for change and effect change beyond own function area and demonstrate a good working knowledge and application of continuous improvement tools.
Candidate specification:
*
*High level of IT literacy (MS Office) with excellent analytical skills
*Knowledge of best practice for manufacturing, H&S, HAZOP Process Mapping, Material Efficiency, production metrics and lean initiatives
*Experience in chemical manufacturing industry and leading successful teams
*Excellent all-round communication and team work skills to work with colleagues to achieve exceptional functional and site results, contributing to overall business targets.
*Can see the world from the customer perspective - translate to functional strategy
*Proficient problem solving skills and the ability to lead and coach problem solving activity
