This is an exciting opportunity for an Out of Hours Migration Support Engineer to join our Client based in Newcastle. You will be responsible for providing 2nd Line Support to the End User/ Account in both the lead up to, during and post migration during Out of Hours.

This is a varied role and duties/responsibilities will include:
* Drive process improvement and streamline activities where applicable
* Ensure all migration workstreams, key stakeholders and external vendors complete their relevant tasks prior to migrations questioning any discrepancies
* Escalate and manage the evening migration given any external outages or factors impacting migrations
* Maintain audit trails of all migration events, providing logs and evidence for reporting purposes

Good knowledge of hardware devices - networking, storage and servers and peripherals and an awareness of ITIL practices and processes is essential for this role. Candidates should also have experience with Wintel Server and Desktop Operating systems.

You should hold current Microsoft certifications and ideally have 5 years' of professional experience. A Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study would be preferred.

The successful candidate should be able to work flexibly and sometimes unsociable hours when required. You should be self-motivated and a logical thinker.

Due to the business needs of this role the successful candidate must have existing security clearance or be able to attain security clearance. If applicants do not currently have security clearance they must have photographic ID in the form of a passport or driving license, that is in date and reflects the applicants current address. Proof of address would also be required in the form of 2 bills dated within the last 3 months.
