Manpower is currently recruiting for a Stock Controller to work in Abingdon on a permanent basis - you will be working within the company's logistics team. You're main purpose of the role is to maintain the integrity of both Spares and Appliance stockholdings and ensure that all stock movements undertaken are within the procedural guidelines and are carried out in a timely manner.

This role is full time - 37.5 hour week Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.15pm and you will be required to manage the company's stock take which is done twice per year on a Saturday.

The ideal candidate will have excellent stock control experience. SAP knowledge preferably in a Logistics environment and WMS knowledge at an operational level are essential. Intermediate excel skills are also a requirement. You will have an organised and structured approach to administration along with supervisory experience, preferably from a warehouse or logistics background.

The Role:
*Liaise with Distribution, Logistics Departments and shippers in regards to production, departure and delivery dates.
*Co-ordination of stock movements from outside storage locations into distribution locations
*Liaise with all departments on sales activities daily, and in regards to longer term, sales periods and special promotions
*Carry out routine stock counts, and perpetual inventory, to maintain accurate stock records and identify any areas of variance, with reasons.
*Organise and manage the full annual stock-take
*Ensuring redundant stock is identified and constantly monitored
*Processing and movement of returned stock back into Miele
*Monitoring of returned stock to provide analytical evidence of the reasons for return, for management review
*Ad-hoc reports for SAP analysis
*Additional duties :
-Customer complaints co-ordination
-Carrier claims co-ordination
*Control demurrage costs through timely container movements
*Act as line manager to stock control assistants for both appliance and spares warehouses, and develop stock control team to cover both functions.
*Ensure that any third party storage providers are fully controlled and appropriate checks are in place to maintain the integrity of the stock file through process control and routine visits.
