Pot Wash Required - Permanent Position!

I am recruiting for Kitchen Porters to help keep the Kitchen running smoothly by making sure all areas are clean, tidy, safe and providing a hygienic environment for the chefs to work in. You will have specific responsibility for the Plate Wash and Pot Wash areas and the cleaning of all major kitchen equipment. You will receive excellent benefits including:

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide assistance to the Catering Manager or department in any area that is suited to your experience or skill set
* Comply in the implantation of all COSHH and HACCP regulations and ensure that equipment cleaning schedules are signed off daily
* All kitchen equipment that you have responsibility for must be properly maintained both in terms of hygiene and cleanliness
* To attend staff meetings and training as requested
* You may also be asked to undertake tasks in other areas of the kitchen, which may not be part of your job description; it is the reasonable expectation that you would carry out such tasks
* To assist with functions should these fall within your normal working hours, any additional hours, if agreeable, will attract overtime
* Washing pots, pans, trays and utensils by both hand and use of industrial utensil washer
* Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is properly stored after use
* Assisting in the plate wash service at meal times to include decant, stack, feed and take-off items of crockery, cutlery and trays and to put back into service after use
* Ensuring that all glasses and function cutlery are correctly put through the glass dishwasher and stored after use
* Washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces and walls
* Maintaining the kitchen floors after each service by following a comprehensive sweeping and mopping programme
* Removing and recycling waste from the kitchen

This is a full time and permanent position with a salary of £16,200 Working hours will be 40 per week including some weekends. Please contact me for more information or apply online.
