Maintenance Technician

Shifts: Full Time. 9am-5pm weekdays plus flexibility for weekend rota when client in residence throughout the year.
Salary: £26,500 Per Annum,
Overtime is available at time and 1/2. Plus GREAT benefits including (28 days holiday (inc banks), BUPA, Pension, lunch provided each day)
Manpower are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on behalf of our client located in Newmarket, Suffolk. The role is Permanent, and based within the private sector.

Key Accountabilities of this role include:

We are looking for a multi skilled Maintenance Technician to join a property maintenance team. You will be responsible for the following:
*Undertake repairs throughout properties including carpentry, tiling and general repairs
*Maintaining water features, sports areas, play areas & garden furniture
*Buggy maintenance and repair
*Install gutters and drainpipes
*General repairs of basic plumbing
*Maintaining hot and cold water supplies, sanitation and waste disposal systems
*Overseeing contractors
*Sourcing materials from local suppliers and manufacturers
*Oversee contractors on site
*Assist other staff members as required
* Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on - call assistance
*Any other duties as and when required
*Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
Key requirements for the role:
*Previously worked in maintenance on an estate, across public buildings or residential properties
*Knowledge of a building trade i.e. carpentry, painting, decorating, plastering
*Full clean UK driving licence
You should have knowledge of a building trade i.e. carpentry, painting, decorating, plastering, plumbing and electrics etc. You should also be conversant in English, passionate about Property Maintenance and have a good knowledge of current Building Regulations
