Manpower is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Co-ordinator at one of our most valued clients - an innovative speciality chemicals manufacturer based near Dewsbury. The Logistics Co-ordinator will play a key role in ensuring the control of visitors, contractors, deliveries & drivers coming on to their Top Tier COMAH site.

With an established reputation for producing innovative chemical ingredients for a range of industries, the site in West Yorkshire is integral to their continued success. The facility is a Top Tier COMAH location, and manufactures on a 24/7 basis meaning there is a requirement to control and record the despatch and receipt of all goods and materials at the point of exit and entry onto site and the arrival and departures of all visitors to ensure site security.

As Logistics Co-ordinator you will complete weekly rotating shifts (06:00- 14:00, 07:00 - 15:00, 12:00 - 19:00) this will also incorporate working one in three Saturdays (07:00 - 12:00).

This role oversees a team of 5, and as Logistics Co-ordinator your challenges will include;
*Weighing in visiting vehicles & issuing weight tickets using weighbridge equipment
*Directing all traffic arriving on site, ensuring HSE standards are explained & PPE is adhered to
*Using the company ERP system, ensuring all goods & materials received to site are processed & receipts provided
*Accurately process despatch of all materials onto ERP system, issuing all relevant documentation (despatch notes, dangerous goods notes, export documentation etc)
*Co-ordinate the movement & departure of hazardous chemicals in line with site policy
*Inspect & audit vehicles entering site
*Welcome visitors (clients, contractors & drivers) ensuring all arrivals and departures are recorded in the log book
*Receive and direct incoming calls, emails & messages ensuring they get to the relevant stakeholders
*Ensure all driver details are checked & site inductions are given
*Issue & keep sales invoices up to date
*Comply with all HSE policy & procedure

*Past experience working in a manufacturing environment as Front of House/ Logistics Coordinator providing a high standard of customer services dealing with internal & external customers
*Experience operating a weighbridge
*Previous experience recording, receiving and dispatching goods & materials
*Experience creating dispatch notes, dangerous goods notes & export documents for a chemical business would be advantageous
*Experience controlling and issuing received goods to the relevant stakeholders
*Previous experience working on a Top Tier COMAH site (Advantageous)
*Strong appreciation for HSE & its importance
