My client is looking for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their successful plant in Lydney. You would be responsible for all plant maintenance on a shift basis. This plant had been recently taken over by a Global company who frequently invests in the plant, so you can be sure you are dealing with the best machinery and up to date technology.

Tasks and responsibilities:

*Carry out daily inspection and maintenance of plant machinery
*Carry out weekly inspections of the whole plant as required
*Report any usages of stock items used and stock levels
*Ensure critical parts are ordered in sufficient time
*Liaise with supervisors to ensure the plant is running smoothly
*Carry out routine maintenance throughout your shift and including shutdown periods
*Support the maintenance manager to minimise all mechanical downtime
*Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with production team and management
*Report any problems encountered to colleagues during shift changeover
*Complete daily report log sheet

My client is asking that you hold the below experience:

*Experience in fabrication, hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical circuits
*Experience in heavy/light mechanical engineering procedures
*Knowledge and use of PLC controlled systems
