Manpower is currently recruiting for Support Workers to work within a small, 3 bedroom, Residential Childrens Home for West Sussex County Council, based in Durrington, Worthing, who offer care and support to children, usually between 7-11 years on an 18 month programme, who are severely autistic, or have learning disabilities, specifically to work various weekdays from 7am-11am.
As a Support Worker your role will involve supporting children in daily duties and activities, personal care and maintaining a caring relationship, some of the children have complex needs therefore is a requirement for 2:1 and sometimes up to 4:1 support.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of safeguarding and processes, good communication and interpersonal skills, preferably with a minimum of 1 years' experience working with vulnerable children. NVQ Level 2+ or relevant equivalent qualification desired, training can be provided.
