Our client based in Heysham are currently recruiting for 2x temporary Material Technician's to be onsite until at least the end of the year.
The successful applicant will be working as a member of the Materials Team providing a comprehensive stock management service in support of station operation and maintenance and will report directly to the Materials Specialist.
Responsibilities:
*Receipt and commercial inspection of spares and materials.
*Resolve receipt discrepancies directly with supplier.
*Issue and return spares and materials.
*Process items for despatch.
*Undertake cycle counting.
*Undertake warehouse management including material identification, location, access, handling, security, cleaning, storage and use of appropriate storage and handling equipment.
*Undertake warehouse administration duties.
*Undertake any other duties as necessary to maintain the smooth running of the group.
Applicants should have a good general level of education with relevant or similar experience of working in a busy warehouse environment. They will also need to be computer literate for data input and interrogation as well as good communication skills.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a 'can do' flexible attitude and will be given full training to operate Fork lift trucks both Counterbalance and Reach.
