We are currently recruiting Mechanical Assembly operatives for a Blue Chip client who are based in Gosforth.
Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Mechanical Assembly Operative is to assemble conveyors and other material handling products that form part of a large sorting machine , you will be able work as part of a team or as an individual maintaining our clients quality standards for their products . Using jigs and fixtures as well as free hand assembly techniques you will be able to translate work instructions into the finished products to meet our customers delivery needs.
Technical Knowledge Skills and Experience
Suitable candidates will be technically proficient, posses a can do attitude, desire to learn new skills or methods, able to communicate well with others, pride in work produced, self-motivated and driven.
To be considered for this role you must be
* Able to follow detailed work instructions and build sequences using well proven assembly techniques,
* Have the ability to use safely a range of hand tools (spanners socket sets etc ) and battery powered tools such as battery hand drills.
* Will be numerically competent and able to translate dimensions from work instructions into the build assembly if required.
* Able Use of simple jigs and fixtures.
* Able to understand engineering terms and read engineering drawings.
Because of the nature of the work carried out by the client you will be subject to a CRB check
