Production Supervisor
Wellingborough
Due to continued success and growth, we are looking for a Production Supervisor to join a well-established and leading manufacturing business based in Wellingborough.
The Production Supervisor will lead and motivate the production operatives to ensure that production is run in an efficient and cost effective manner; ensuring that the output and quality is to the highest level.
Key responsibilities will include:
Management of staff:
*Maintaining staffing levels by identifying the need for recruitment
*Maintain good staff moral by affective leadership
*Establish good communication to all factory staff and carry out regular tool box talks
*Maintaining the correct staffing levels by monitoring holiday requests and sickness absence
*Monitor Absenteeism, sickness & lateness - carry out initial review with staff
*Identifying skills shortages by orienting, and training employees
*Ensuring the development of staff
*Manage production operatives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and providing feedback on job results
*Ensuring targets are met by ensuring the effectiveness of team
*Lead and assist other supervisors in day to day issues
*Deputise for Production Manager
Production process:
*Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing procedures
*Identify continuous improvement opportunities within production by suggesting and implementing process improvements
*Effective Management of the specific production area including: Safety, Quality, Output, Costs
*Establishing and maintaining effective communications with internal departments.
*Compile production performance records and data
Skills and experience required:
*Good man management and Leadership skills
*Production/manufacturing experience
*UPVC industry experience or linked is desirable
*The Ability to Motivate staff
*Analytical approach
*Well organised
*Methodical and accurate
*Excellent communicator
*Good IT skills
