An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Client Unilever, are currently seeking a Specification Technologist. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25 hour week. This role is paying £26,000 per annum, pro rata.

The European Ice Cream Regional Deploy Centre is a fast paced and demanding environment, where effective and fast delivery is key to its success. Within this group, the team are responsible for the development and on-going improvement to a wide variety of brands and products including many well-known brands such as Feast, Rocket, Twister and Solero as well as European brands.

As a key part of the team, the successful applicant will play a critical role in our clients development of new products by ensuring the correct data and specifications are collated and created to ensure fluid delivery to market. The successful applicant will be working with a new specification software, so the ability to pick up new systems and report errors is essential for this role.

Main Accountabilities
*Create specifications to track all recipe development and translate the locked product design into a product that can be made in our factories
*Utilize Excel and in house specification software to input large amounts of data accurately and on time in full
*Manage the database to hold all specifications, costing's and processing information
Responsible for editing and maintaining high quality product specification data
*Collaborate with suppliers to deliver new/improved product experience and accelerate identification of suitable new ingredients for the projects
*Build and maintain resulting specifications against quality standards and continually strive to improve the content through liaising with relevant functions/suppliers
*Organise and manage tasting sessions for the project team, involving R&D colleagues and cross-functional partners

Experience required
*Candidates should have experience in a relevant field such as food specifications (or similar) or experience in a role that requires handling of large amounts of data.
*Good computer literacy/experience with proven ability to learn new systems
*Diligent, rigorous and accurate in the ability to collate information from multiple sources
*Ability to prioritize workload against demand from multiple customers and projects
Must be able to sense check own work and have ability to log errors and resolve issues.
