An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global FMCG organisation; our client is currently looking for a Site Accountant to work at their Port Sunlight Facility. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 12 months, working a 37.5 per hour week. This role is paying up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Job Purpose:
ETS is One global team, delivering HR Services, Finance Services, Information & Analytics, Real Estate Management, Travel & Facilities Management, IT Services (e.g. laptops, mobile & networks), Process Excellence and Technology.
ETS Controllers team are responsible for developing and maintaining the financial control environment, supporting the development of the client charging process; driving process standardisation and continuous improvement in reporting and forecasting.
The ETS Controllers Site Accountant is responsible for the UEIT entity & reports directly to the ETS Controller Europe. It is responsible for management of core processes & controls within UEIT to ensure accurate financial statements. It acts as a supervisory role to the finance assistant role on site. The role is responsible for Core duties as outlined below.
Key Accountabilities:
All UEIT Financial reporting
Year-end notes analysis & preparation
All UEIT Management reporting (including quarterly invoicing to P&H)

Month End Closing:
Monitor the journals as per the standard journals list, journals posted via Trintech
Control of monthly close timetable
Coordination of the monthly close deadlines to the UEIT & Finance Business Partner networks
Coordinate any communications required for month end, hard close or year end

Post Month End:
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
Analyse monthly results
Analyse P&L trends & BS trends
Main point of contact for OC and 3rd party provider within 3 tier model ensuring all activities are conducted in adherence to the service agreement

External Audit & Taxation:
Management of relationship with external auditors and tax.
Global Financial Controls Framework:
Responsible for adherence to the framework for UEIT
Ensuring compliance issues are addressed and closed out in conjunction with the OC
Ensuring compliance to tax controls framework, driving resolution of issues
Owner of UEIT local controls framework, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of non-compliance issues

Manager of Finance Assistant role, accountable for activities within that role
Support ETS Controller in Global ETS initiatives & Projects
Support for FBPs & FLT
Ad Hoc Simplification / Harmonisation Projects
Review monthly VAT return.
Promote Financial Awareness within ETS
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures

Experience Required:
*Part qualified, Passed finalist or fully CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualified.
*Experience in a commercial environment.
*Broad experience of financial accounting, performance management, including VAT, TAX and variance analysis etc.
*Good interpersonal, communication, influencing skills
*Committed team player, demonstrating a "hands-on" proactive approach
*Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
*Knowledge of SAP preferred
*Ability and drive to work independently.
