CNC Machinist - Programmer/Setter/Operator
An opportunity has arisen for a CNC Machinist in a company which manufactures parts for a variety of industries.
A CNC Machinist is required who is able to program, set and operate CNC Turning or Milling machines. Experience with Fanuc Controls would be an advantage.
The candidate will be able to understand engineering drawings and be responsible for programming from scratch, selecting tooling, setting and operating CNC Machinery. They will be involved in producing batch work and one offs.
We are looking for a CNC Miller or Turner/Programmer/setter/Operator who ideally has the following skills.
*Extensive experience of Programming CNC Machines with Fanuc Controls
*Must be able to set and operate the machines
*Have a good understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerance
*Some offline Programming knowledge would be useful but this is not essential
*Must be a Proactive team player, with initiative and a positive can do attitude.
*Be able to modify machine speed, tooling and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts
*Oversee cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch mistakes as they happen and take necessary measures to eliminate errors
*Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation
*Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacement


Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
*Experienced following an Apprenticeship
*CNC and Manual Machine Experience
*Comfortable using cutting tools and maintaining machinery
*Familiarity with Fanuc programming and interpreting CNC software
*Good interpretation of technical Drawings
*Good understanding of geometric tolerance`s
*Good Verbal communication
Preferred:
*Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
*Values precision and enforces quality standards
*Ability to understand G-code

Job Type: Full Time
Salary: £13.0 per hour (negotiable)
Required Experience: 10 years CNC Metal Cutting Experience
