Manpower have a permanent job role for a Metal Spinner to work for a well established Precision Engineering Company who design and manufacture products for variety of industries and sectors.
Metal spinning is a metalworking process by which a disc or tube of metal is rotated at high speed and formed into an axially symmetric part. Spinning can be performed by hand or by a CNC lathe.
This is a full time role.
Hours of work are:
Mon - Thu 7.00 am - 5.00 pm and Fri 7.00 am - 1.00 pm. A total of 42 hours per week.
Duties are varied and will include:
Hand and machine metal spinning
Setting up and operating a spinning lathe
Coating outside of the rotating disk with spinning compound
Verifying dimensions of the finished article
Working from engineering drawings
Using a variety of hand and power tools
Skills required:
Metal spinning ability
NVQ / City & Guilds in a relevant field is desirable but not essential
