Warehouse Supervisor (Asst on cover)
Due to the exisisting Warehouse Supervisor retiring, a very rare opportunity has arisen to be a part of a Global Manufacturing Company as their Warehouse Supervisor.
You will be required to safely manage and record the output of products, raw materials and received goods through the main and intermediate warehouses across the site.
40 hours week 8-5 Monday- Friday with flexitime
What will your new role look like:
Collation and distribution of departmental performance information
*Day to day leadership of the Warehouse Team
*Regular liaison between Purchasing, Logistics and Finance Departments to
enable effective site planning & reduce down time
*You will regularly take part in training & complete tasks as required and at the correct frequencies
*You will be responsible for the successful departmental culture of safe working practices and compliance to site Values, & ensure that any issues are reported accordingly
*Ensure that all products are undamaged and labelled in a correct and timely manner, whilst maintaining quality of product taking action as required
*Ensure Operatives carry out daily inspections for the Fork Lift Truck and report any issues
*Organise and record the automated transfer of goods between the main, intermediate warehouses and locations around site as required
*Organise and control ad hoc requirements in the department, maintain area house-keeping standards and support other departments as required
*You will be expected to contribute & suggest improvements as and wherever possible
*Report unsafe conditions to Focus Factory Manager
*Operate with and support/ develop warehouse team as necessary
*Carries out any reasonable request from management
REQUIRES:
(Functional/technical skills, knowledge & qualifications)
*Training and sign-off, on all tasks associated with job as defined by training matrix
*Fork lift truck training
*Use of and involvement in the PC based finished goods and stock control system (SAP or real time stock control information)
People responsibilities - To successfully lead a team of 6 Warehouse Operatives plus a Warehouse Assistant Supervisor
*Wigan Warehouse facility with variable stock level
*3rd party outside Warehousing stock control as required
*Remote location Warehousing stock control as required
