Electromechanical Engineer
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum, exclusive of overtime and on-call Rota. Plus other benefits
Shifts: Full Time, 5 out of 7 day Rota (Sunday to Saturday)
Manpower is recruiting for a Electromechanical Engineer on behalf of our client located in Luton. The role is Permanent, and based within the Engineering Sector.
Key Accountabilities of this role include:
* Plan and carry out maintenance duties to ensure the safety and repair of company equipment and premises
* To ensure all equipment meets legal and company compliance standards
* To effectively process, carry out and monitor site preventative maintenance, breakdowns and repairs
* To troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of electro/ mechanical machinery
* To carry out repairs and maintenance on ripening rooms/large plant refrigeration, fire and alarm systems, etc.
* To carry out general factory/building maintenance work on equipment and premises
Technical Skills:
* Proven ability in mechanical engineering, ideally including hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, metalwork, pneumatics, building, plumbing and handyman skills
* Experience in MIG and arc welding
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Maintenance packages (i.e. Service Life) CMMS software
* Qualifications/training in First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling, MEWP, FLT and PPT (desirable)
* Experience of working in fresh food manufacturing (desirable)
* Experience of electrical safety training, i.e. C & G 17th Edition Skills and knowledge (desirable)
* Experience of HVAC (desirable)
