Job Details
This Call Handler role would suit an individual who wants to do something different, and is looking for long-term career possibilities within one of the country's top services. This could also be the role for you if you have a background in caring for others who are looking for some responsibility. You will be providing first aid information, taking non-emergency calls related to health issues, as well as some emergency calls. The role requires a minimum of 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, and demonstrable customer service experience. Including the 25% out-of-hours bonus, when you become a full member of staff you can expect to earn up to £21,000 a year.
During the three month probation period prior to this you will receive £8.53 an hour plus an increased rate for unsociable hours. You'll also receive from 27 days holiday per annum (based on full-time hours) plus 8 bank holidays, an NHS pension or NEST scheme and number of high street discounts with great brands such as Nandos and Dominos. Working within the NHS may also entitle you to apply for a Key Worker Housing scheme. On offer is 4-weeks of training and a further 8-week support programme. You must be available to attend training from 8.30am - 4.30pm or 5.00pm - 1.00am Monday - Friday for the initial 4 weeks.
