A leading manufacturer of superconducting magnets is recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to join their busy design team. This is an exciting time to join the business as they have huge expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities
*Design generation of solid models and engineering drawings from line-up information supplied by project engineers, personal experience and knowledge.
*Construction of bills of material.
*Providing clear and concise drawings for the assembly technicians.
*Generation of, and adherence to, working instructions and procedures in accordance with the Company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance policy.
*Liaison with colleagues, customers, collaborators and suppliers as necessary.
*Assist in identifying new component suppliers and subcontractors where appropriate.
*Supplying engineering drawings and models to customers and collaborators in the relevant format in a concise and timely manner.
*Participation in technical design reviews.
*Where necessary, contribute to production and development cost build-up models.
*Project management as and when required.
*Supervisory support in line with managers absence.

*Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to enquiries and communicate/interact with internal and external customers.
*Pro-active, with a can-do approach.
*A team player, but also comfortable working autonomously.

The ideal candidate will have an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. A HNC, HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Ideal experience in the design of superconducting magnets and cryogenic systems, and experience in using Solid Edge design software. You will be required to have a clean, driver's license. In return, you will be offered an excellent benefits package and your salary will range from £25,000 to £45,000 based on experience. You will be required to work 40 hours per week and the company operate an early 1.00pm finish on Fridays
