We are currently seeking 3 permanent PEWS Administrators in Donnington, Telford, Working hours 8.30-5pm Monday - Friday and 25 days holiday allowance, the annual salary is aiming to be £24,500.00 - £25,900.00 depending on experience, Please see below for further information on the role:

Essentially what they are looking for is a Vehicle mechanic who has had enough time working on the vehicles and wants to take a back seat and be office based now, you must have good IT skills and be able to read technical documents. Key to it really is having the mechanic knowledge to interpret what you are inputting onto the system.

Purpose
The purpose of this role is to input the Perform Work Survey (PEWS) information into the ERP system and create an appropriate repair route in the system as required. The PEWS inputting triggers the demand for material to be placed and the repair route plans lists out the sequential tasks operatives need to carry out to complete the job. Technical knowledge of vehicle repairs is required with experience of specific Army platforms beneficial.

Responsibilities
People
To share experience and knowledge with colleagues
To shadow others as required to learn or gain competence
To work collaboratively with supporting site teams to deliver shared production output (e.g. Forklift operators, paint shops, stores)

Tools
To use Vault system to retrieve information from AESP documents
To input accurate PEWS data into the ERP system
To use the JAMES system as an exemplar user
To use the assigned supporting IT systems as required (e.g. Timesheets, technical documentation, travel and expenses, Learning Management System)

Process
To follow approved processes for inputting of PEWS information into the ERP system
To follow approved process for creating routes on ERP system
To demand the appropriate material needs based on PEWS information
To create customised Bill of Materials (BOM) and routes as required with time efficiency and cost of materials taken in consideration
To follow approved safety procedures
To input timesheet information via the approved process
To input ad-hoc purchase requirements via approved process
To request transport, travel and expenses claims via approved system
To update Learning Management System (LMS) as required
To highlight facilities/plant/machinery problems to Supervisor
To highlight concerns of gaps in personal skills and/or competency to Supervisor prior to starting task
To highlight PPE or safety concerns to Supervisor
To highlight innovation opportunities to Supervisor
To highlight when unproductive to Supervisor
To move between tasks/work centres/processes as required
To be flexible to work alternative patterns/shift including overtime

Skills & Behaviours
Skills:
Able to learn and use core IT system processes (e.g. ERP, LMS, JAMES)
Ability to learn and follow processes
Ability to learn and follow safety standards and procedures
Ability to be flexible to changing demands

Qualifications
Essential:
Completed relevant technical or vocational qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3 (Advanced apprenticeship, level 3 NVQ)
Experienced and competent on using ERP system
Experienced and competent on reading technical documentation (e.g. AESPs)
Experienced and competent on using JAMES system

Reasons for the vacancy was due to a total restructure of the business and so a need for these additional vacancies.
