Are you a Sales professional focused on the UK or International Street Lighting Control market?
Do you have experience of selling into local authorities, utilities or commercial enterprises?

You will be interested in this new staff position with our client, one of Europe's leading suppliers of street lighting controls and on-street power distribution for next generation of Smart Grid technology.
Your background will be as an agile sales person capable of taking wireless remote switch control technology into the market and to develop its application beyond that of street lighting.
Your main target customer base will be European connected cities but will have the scope to extend this product globally. Your role will include the development of new business opportunities at both existing and new customers and to define and secure new specifications in the smart lighting sector.

Operationally cased out of the company's offices in Yorkshire and including travelling to all customer areas, including international, to support new product and project implementation.
NB: Candidates from outside of this area and wanting to work remotely would also be considered.
You will ensure the timely and successful implementation of client requirements to support achievement of the business financial and strategic goals. You will provide expert technical and commercial support to customers. Including presentations at exhibitions, seminars and industry events as well as initiating the development of suitable marketing material.
You will help create and achieve the Budget including both sales targets as well as the profitability targets. Development and implementation of the agreed long term strategy for the Smart Lighting system will also be a large part of the role.
You will be a member of the senior sales team with regional sales responsibility. Take responsibility for direct sales of the products and systems into the street lighting and connected city market place.
You will be supported by an in-house technical development team and experienced field based product engineers as well as commercial and quality departments.
Maintain a high level of self-motivation and independence.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate.
A technical qualification or significant experience in Electrical Engineering or a relevant background such as a commercial or financial field
Experienced in the lighting/electric industry
Capability to manage large projects, including implementation in the field
Excellent business, communication and negotiation skills in a one to one and group environment
Ability to work to and achieve set targets
Ability to present to customers using appropriate tools including PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels
Able to produce management reports and present results at meetings
Capable of communicating technical solutions to non- technical people
Creative thinker and doer
IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office
A full UK driving licence and valid UK Passport
