Your back ground will be in the full life cycle of a project and capable of assisting the Project Manager as appropriate to realise the delivery of projects in line with quality, time and budget constraints.
You will be a key member of the Engineering team, providing day to day engineering, design and administrative support as necessary to the Senior Project Manager / Project Manager. Taking the technical lead and deputising when directed by the Project Manager, taking the responsibility for the planning, prioritising and expediting of elements of the project, including engineering, design, including taking ownership for elements of design and subcontract design service where appropriate.
Oversee the delivery of a package of work as a subsystem of the project through the full Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation lifecycle of the project, supporting the risk management and cost control processes. Manage subcontractors delivering equipment, project documentation, technical procurement specifications, progress reports, final documentation to support the project delivery.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following: Qualified to HND or degree level within Mechanical engineering or a related subject
At least two years of Project Engineering experience
Membership of a recognised engineering body (or you are working towards this)
Knowledge and experience in the design, manufacture and utilisation
Knowledge of multi-disciplinary design, project and engineering experience
Knowledge or an awareness of new technology advancements
Flexibility to work across various disciplines and share your ideas
A good problem-solving, attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
The ability to coordinate and manage your own work-related activities
The ability to meet quality standards, within budget and agreed timescales
A willingness to work closely with Senior Engineers and the rest of the team to achieve project aims
The ability to use previous experience and technical knowledge to achieve solutions to complex engineering problems to agreed timescales
