Maintenance Technician (mechanical)

I am pleased to be supporting a major Client in the search to enhance their already established & experienced Maintenance Team with the introduction of a Maintenance Technician (with a mechanical bias)

This role will add to an already busy Team, ensuring the maintenance, servicing and repair of all equipment to maintain the continuity of the manufacturing operations and the safety of production personnel in this 24/7 - 365 operations.

What will be required in your new role?

*Maintenance of plant and equipment throughout the site.
*Team work & independence.
*Using own initiative to solve & rectify problems.
*Close out routine PPM work as detailed in work orders.
*Record any completed work orders and returning them to your supervisor in a timely manner.
*Health & Safety of yourself & colleagues at all times is a must.
*Maintain high standards of Housekeeping and ensuring a tidy workplace after work completion.
*Fast and efficient work completion.
*Strive to continuously improve in your work.

What do you need to succeed:
*You are computer literate
*Experience in a maintenance environment.
*Hold City & Guilds standard within a Mechanical Apprenticeship (would suit someone newly or recently qualified)
*You can carry out basic Mechanical duties confidently and effectively.
*You are confident following engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and working instructions.
*An appreciation / working knowledge of PLCs would be greatly beneficial
*The ability to communicate effectively and constructively to both peers and management.


This is a day shift role, with lots of regular overtime (not compulsory) paid at a highly enhanced rate.
