Our client AkzoNobel the leading global paints company, home to world class products including the Dulux 'Super Brand', who operate in a number of important market segments ranging from buildings and infrastructure to transport, industrial and consumer goods.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shopper Marketer to join the team on a temporary basis. This position is accountable for driving the delivery and implementation of a newly defined unified product and portfolio range across all Europe countries. This will include working across multiple markets and cross-functionally at a European level to deliver the range into operating companies. Markets include: UK&I; France; Poland; Russia; Romania; Spain. This will be managing one of AkzoNobels biggest accounts and as a result it has significant strategic and commercial focus. In addition, the shopper marketing manager will build an aligned, cohesive and profitable shopper activation plan to successfully launch the masonry category across Europe.
You will have full responsibility for the creation and execution of the shopper marketing programmes in line with customer agreements, drive the priority initiatives to ensure brilliant execution through the customer and commercial teams and work in partnership with the Brand and Commercial teams to execute the plans. You will also ensure all programmes are delivered with the timeframes of the execution cycle and Measure effectiveness of campaigns and investment on activities. Additionally you will build Shopper Marketing capability and raise the standard of execution across the business - this will be the first time a customer activation will be managed centrally and will be a fantastic opportunity to develop a multi-market approach and best practice to activation across a key customer. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to produce and execute all physical and digital content to deliver against customer and brand requirements
The ideal candidate will have end to end product activation experience, have good communication and presentation skills and be able to hit the ground running. You will have Customer marketing experience in high performing businesses with multiple categories and/or brands (ideally with shopper marketing experience). You will also have Excellent written and oral communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups and strong time / project schedule management skills required to ensure timelines and activation plans are delivered on time and in full.
