We have great opportunities to join us as a Student Finance Administrator (Loan Assessor) at our open plan offices based at Lingfield Point in Darlington. You will be helping us process large volumes of work for customers who wish to apply for student finance for a wide range of products administered by Student Finance England. We expect the start date to be 16 April 2018.

As a Student Finance Assessor you'll be working as part of the team that determines students' entitlement to financial support. Your role will involve assessing applications, so that an accurate decision on their eligibility can be made. You'll also be involved in related tasks such as managing changes in student's circumstances and requesting any additional information that's required before a decision can be made.

Whilst administration and/or customer service experience would be of benefit, what's more important is that you're confident in using Microsoft PC packages, and ideally hold both Maths and English at GCSE level or above (or equivalent).

Our people tell us there are a wide variety of reasons why they work for us. We recognise the importance of a healthy work-life balance and our staff policies reflect this.

No matter what career you choose with us, you'll find that you have the opportunity to develop skills in the course of your everyday work and through specific training. You'll be surrounded by friendly people in our offices which offer pleasant, open plan surroundings with free parking and an on-site café/restaurant.

We have a great selection of benefits on offer, including:

* Competitive salary
* Flexi-time scheme
* Generous annual leave - 36 days holiday including 8 public holidays (pro-rata)
* Company sick pay
* Life insurance (at no cost to you)
* Pension scheme
* Comprehensive training and guidance, delivered by the dedicated on-site team.

This role is offered for those interested in full time work, working 6pm - 2am Monday to Friday (37.5 hours).

Interested? Apply here today! If successful, we will call you - from a private number - within 2 working days to conduct a short telephone interview.
