An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading FMCG global organisation, our client are currently recruiting for a Payroll Finance Analyst. This is a temporary role to start ASAP and is expected to run for approx. 4 months. The location for the role will be based in Leatherhead, Surrey. The salary for this role is between £35000.00 - £40000.00 per annum pro rata, depending on experience full time, Monday-Friday.



Background:

The UK&I Overheads department is responsible for more than €100m of costs spread across people costs, market research, 3rd party services, Enterprise Support costs and other discretionary spend in the operating company. The Payroll Finance Analyst is a key part as majority of the Overheads Costs is related to personnel costs, therefore tight control in the process of booking and recognising the costs is highly significant.



Brief Job Description and Key Accountabilities:


  • To ensure all payroll costs across the entire UK Geography are properly booked (done by ETS) which consists of a payroll of 7000 employees, across factories and sites, R&D and IT centres, 2 corporate centres and local operating company.
  • Maintenance and application of key controls throughout the process of payroll (Financial Control Framework), involving the third party payroll provider, SAP System, Payroll team and people management system (Workday)
  • Maintenance of control accounts -ensures end-to-end overview: right accounting and financial control of the process.
  • Ensures the payroll items are booked as per SCOA (Standard Chart Of Accounts) principles in the right definition.
  • Ensures payments to HMRC are paid and booked appropriately as part of the monthly payroll process
  • Forecast and actuals control for the operating company structure, understanding variance of people movements, salary inflation and any other changes that may affect payroll costs (Apprenticeship Levy, NI changes)
  • Partners HR organization to ensure Payroll system is appropriately updated



  • Skills Profile:

    • Qualified/Part qualified accountant or equivalent or studying towards professional accounting qualification
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Controller
    • SAP Experience is ideal but not essential
    • Payroll accounting experience is required
    • Highly proficient in Excel
    • Needs to be an independent analytical person
    • Good Verbal and written communication skills
