We are currently recruiting for a Shopper Marketing Manager, working for a major blue chip organisation
This role will support the Marketing lead in the development and delivery of the end to end shopper marketing campaign and activation plans across all operations, carrying out the following role;
Full responsibility for the creation and execution of the shopper marketing programmes in line with customer agreements
Drive the priority initiatives to ensure brilliant execution through the customer and commercial teams
Work in partnership with the Brand and Commercial teams to execute the plan
Ensure all programmes are delivered with the time frames of the execution cycle
Build Shopper Marketing capability and raise the standard of execution across the business - this will be the first time a customer activation will be managed centrally and will be a fantastic opportunity to develop a multi-market approach and best practice to activation across a key customer.
Surprise and delight key stakeholders with a compelling shopper campaign to hero the new and unique products developed for the customer. Create excitement and a 'buzz' through effective internal/ external communication and stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
Education & Experience
- Ideally educated to BA/BSC degree level or equivalent
- Customer marketing experience in high performing businesses with multiple categories and/or brands (ideally with shopper marketing experience)
- Experience in marketing and/or commercial within FMCG, Retail or DIY industries
- Some experience of people management (from 1-2+ direct reports)
- Ideally some experience working within a matrix organisation structure and across multi-markets
Marketing/Commercial Competencies:
- Customer/Shopper marketing - building and executing channel and/or customer plans
- Brand planning and marketing activity execution
- Commercial experience - account management
- Basic understanding of P&L Management
- Proven ability to influence across a broad network of the organisation
- Experience in development and implementation of 'path to purchase' communications plan
- Good creative judgement and experience in developing work across multiple channels
- Champion of consumer/customer insight as the foundation to the customer marketing plan
- Commercially astute (with ideally a good understanding of the building/paint/DIY category)
